College is over!

Feeling rather sad its all over, but I suppose I'll be going to Cleveland next year, I just hope it's good and my teachers are as nice as the ones at Newcastle college! 
Anyhow here's my final project!

Development

Always seem to get stuck on Development. I've been trying to combine some of my drawings and then I've transferred my design and started to embroid into it.

Yesterday's progress

I've realised I seem to be a lot more motivated on a night.  The fox/wolf I don't using fine liner and watercolours. The squirrel I drew using a mechanical pencil.  I'm happy with my little squirrel, I love spending time doing quality drawing they always work better for me.

Today's drawings

Haven't used much colour so that's what I've been working with today. I love working with watercolors but I tend to go too dark.

Drawing

Feeling really behind after spending all week on the PPD module, so I'm using my time wisely and spending time doing detailed drawings, which I am more likey to take forward and develop.

work based learning

I've been given an exciting opportunity to work with Maggie's a  'Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.'
I have been given a brief to design a range of jolly scarves. because I have recently done the liberty's project it has really helped me in designing them. there will be event held in a couple of months where I will be selling my scarves, I'll keep you updated with the date and time of that.

Ooh pretty business cards

I done my buisness cards yesterday but wasn't pleased with them at all, there was too much going on and they were pixelated so I've done them again and I'm so happy with the way they've turned out.

Haven't drawn that much I need to draw more and in more detail. Here's what I've done so far....

Woodland

Final ever project ! Scary. After a trip to the discovery museum where I got really inspired by antler and dears. I have choosen woodland as my theme. I'm still thinking but maybe children wear so make garment fronts again?

Presented my work the other day infront of a fashion buyer, safe to say I was terrified but I'm getting better. 

Look who's designs are printed

I couldn't be happier. I really love myscarf designs I think I've chosen the right color ways for My finals they're both different yet complement each other. All that needs to be done now is the cutting and rolling of the edges. 

it's time to start making my final

decided to work with illustrator, was planning on using my original drawings and just placing them in photoshop to make my scarf design. but I've decided to do the total opposite and tracing round them in illustrator. only down side to illustrator is i find it really hard to colour bits in as they don't have a paint bucket like photoshop. so outline in illustrator and colour in photoshop it will have to be. so bare in mind these aren't the colours i'm using
this is the one I'm working on at the moment.
I've realised a mistake!!!! half of the boarder i didn't reflect, i'll need to sort that out.

Liberty's project.

Just a few drawings ive done so far. Really need to start developing now. So excited to start using photoshop and illustrator again to create my scarf print for Liberty's.

Development

Making motifs and combining them together with other motifs to create patterns. Working towards- need to get something sent to the laser cut dropbox and i need to think of a pattern i want on a card.

NEW PROJECT!

ooooh im excited. My new project is called alternative techniques, i will be Using my design work off the last project and experiment with the digital application software Illustrator, which is something I've only just learned last week and I'm actually really enjoying using this software. i will using this software in conjunction with the laser cutter to develop a collection of motifs and pattern.

I've been doing some research on the shop Anthropologie which we are designing our work on.

They have a beautiful range of jewelry But i'm still unsure of the final outcome i want to create. i'm limited with the chose of things i can make, i can make accessory/jewelry or create my own surface pattern using a build-up of layered material for interiors. I like like sound of the all, a jewelry collection would be nice but is it too predictable?
